End of season brunch
Coach and his family have graciously invited the team to their home after the game on Saturday to celebrate the great Silver Bullet Shark season with a brunch. Coach says bring a breakfast or lunch item to share to: 1772 Auburn Ridge Lane, Draper (Suncrest), UT 84020.
Game #8
Another fun game on Saturday, thanks to everyone who came out. The boys on the team are really showing some improvement from the beginning of the season. Thanks to Charlie's Mom for the donuts.

Game #6
Another beautiful day in Utah on Saturday morning. The Yellow Dragons were one of the tougher challenges the Silver Bullet Sharks had faced thus far, but the boys put up a good fight. I think I got Will and Jackson scoring goals on video. Thanks to Jackson's family for the treats, and thanks for the patience as we took the team pictures.

Game #5
What a beautiful night for soccer in Draper. Thanks to the parents for the great turnout again. Because of it, we were able to share some players with the green monsters and have a fun game. Will and Jackson played great for the other team. It was more of a defensive struggle than last Saturday's game, but there were some goals. I was too busy trying to get Owen to forget how cool his shadow looked and trying to keep Ketch off the playing field to see the scoreboard, but I think Charlie converted at least one of his breakaways and I think at least one other Silver Bullet Shark found the back of the net. Miles was all over the field and turned several balls back around towards the goal, and Tanner played some rock solid defense in the fourth quarter. The biggest news of the night...TWINKIES.

Tuesday's practice
Great turnout for practice on Tuesday. The boys came with a lot of .... energy. Thanks to coach for trying to focus that energy. A couple things I noticed: (1) Tanner brought his A game and (2) Owen still loves his shadow. The team got a little distracted near the end of practice when it was learned that Owen brought a Halloween cake, complete with candy corn, candy pumpkins and cookie headstones. Sorry about those gummy worms, Jackson.

Game #2
It was a breezy morning, but a fun soccer match. Topher got things started with and early goal. Charlie went on a scoring streak in the second quarter. Jackson and Lucas also scored key goals. Even Owen got in on the fun, putting one in the Silver Bullet Sharks own goal. We'll try to get him turned around for the next game, but I was honestly just happy to see him kick the ball. Thanks to Lucas' Mom for the treats after the game.

The first game
The Silver Bullet Sharks played a great first game on Thursday night. Jackson scored the first goal of the game and the SBS team kept the pressure on all game long. Thanks for the great cheering section...and Thanks to Topher's Mom for providing the treats after the game.

First practice
The first practice for the Silver Bullet Sharks went really well. Coach Philip put the team through some strenuous drills, and I think we made it 10 minutes before the boys started asking "who brought treats?".

First team meeting...
Coach Philip gathered the team on South Mountain for the first team meeting on Saturday. After choosing jerseys and getting socks and shorts, the next order of business was picking a team name. After a few votes and wild debate, a compromise was reached and the team was named: the Silver Shark Bullets. Coach Philip put the team through some rigorous drills after the meeting, and Owen's Mom provided the team with some quick refreshments. The first game on Thursday evening should be fun.
Here's an action shot of the team naming process.
